When skin concerns start to stack up — uneven tone, dullness, fine lines, acne, stubborn pigment — it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by options or unsure what your skin actually needs.
Using the wrong peel (or too strong of one) can cause irritation, prolonged downtime,
or disappointing results.
Your Guide to Healthier Skin
At Folawns, you’re never navigating skin treatments alone.
Our licensed estheticians — including Master Estheticians with advanced corrective training —
use SkinCeuticals’ clinically backed peel systems to customize treatments based on your skin type,
tolerance, and goals.
Both Estheticians and Master Estheticians provide exceptional care.
Master Estheticians are recommended for advanced, corrective, or pigment-focused treatments.
How SkinCeuticals Chemical Peels Work
These professional treatments use carefully layered acids to exfoliate the skin, stimulate cellular turnover, and reveal a brighter, smoother complexion underneath.
Depending on the peel selected, treatments can help:
-
Improve texture and tone
-
Reduce acne and congestion
-
Brighten pigmentation and sun damage
-
Smooth fine lines and early aging
-
Boost overall skin clarity and glow
Your 3-Step Guide to the Right Chemical Peel
You don’t need to know which peel to choose — that’s our job.
Here’s how we guide you to your best skin, step by step.

Skin Goals

Step 2: Get Matched to the Right Peel

Step 3: Follow a Results-Driven Plan
Step 1: Share Your Skin Goals
During your visit, we’ll talk through what you’re seeing in the mirror — whether that’s dullness, acne,
pigmentation, texture, or early signs of aging.
We also consider:
-
Skin type and sensitivity
-
Past treatments
-
Lifestyle and downtime preferences
This ensures your treatment is effective, safe, and personalized.
Step 2: Get Matched to the Right Peel
Based on your goals and skin needs, your provider will recommend the SkinCeuticals peel that best supports your results.
-
First-time or maintenance peels may be guided by an Esthetician
-
Corrective or advanced concerns may be guided by a Master Esthetician
You’ll always know why a peel is recommended — no guesswork, no pressure.
Step 3: Follow a Results-Driven Plan
Chemical peels work best when they’re part of a plan, not a one-time treatment.
Your provider will guide you on:
-
How often to receive peels
-
Post-treatment care
-
At-home SkinCeuticals products to support your results
This approach helps you achieve long-term skin health, not just a short-term glow.

What to Expect During a Chemical Peel
We believe informed guests feel confident — and confidence leads to better results. Here’s what you can expect before, during, and after your chemical peel at Folawns.
During Your Treatment
Most chemical peels create a mild tingling or warming sensation as the solution works to exfoliate and renew your skin. This feeling is temporary and typically subsides once the peel is neutralized.
For stronger or more corrective peels, sensations may feel more active. In those cases, your provider may apply a numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable. Skin that is already accustomed to professional acids often tolerates treatments very well.
Your comfort is always a priority — we guide you every step of the way.
After Your Treatment
Your skin’s response depends on the depth of the peel selected:
-
Superficial peels may cause mild redness similar to a light sunburn, typically lasting 3–5 days
-
More corrective peels can result in visible redness, swelling, and peeling that may last 7–14 days
-
Deeper corrective peels may involve more noticeable peeling as your skin renews itself
Your provider will explain exactly what to expect based on your treatment and give you clear post-care instructions.
Sun Protection Is Essential
After a chemical peel, your skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen is required, and direct sun exposure should be minimized during the healing period.
This step is essential for protecting your results and supporting healthy skin recovery.
